Forum User Guide

Thank you for your interest in the Blog Trends Chat community! Please be sure to read our Terms of Use before you begin posting on the website or forums. Now that you are ready, here are some things that are helpful to know about our forums:

Sign Up

If you are already a member of BlogTrendsChat.com you will have full access to the forums and there is no need to sign up again. If you are not already a member, please take a second to sign up. You will only need to enter your name and email address to get started!

Avatars

Your avatar for the forums is determined by the email address associated with your account. If you have a Gravatar account using the same email address you will display a profile image, if not you can easily create a Gravatar account using which ever email you wish. We are working to integrate it with the avatar you are able to upload but for now you can create or use your Gravatar.

Creating & Replying to a Topic

To create a new topic visit the forum category that is appropriate for your post. Once you are in the correct forum click on the “Add New” link to start your own topic. Tag your topic with a couple of key words to make it more easily searched. To reply to a topic, you will scroll to the bottom of the thread and enter your reply there.

 Editing & Deleting a Post

You will be able to edit and delete your own topics by navigating to your topic. Once you are on your topic page you will see a menu under your name in the box containing your post. You will then have the option to edit or delete your post.

Creating a Custom Signature

At the top of the page under the navigation you will see “Welcome!”. Next to your name you will see a link to “View My Profile”. Click this link, then at the bottom of the left column click “Edit”. Here you will find all of your profile settings, including your signature. You are able to use minimal html such as a hyperlink to your blog.

Reporting Abuse

If you see someone using the forums in a way that is offensive, spam, or against our Terms of Use please use our contact form or send an email to Contact@blogtrendschat.com.
