“Count to three and take a deep breath…” this is usually the first approach to recomposing yourself and getting your confidence back. Yet gaining confidence isn’t as simple as taking a deep breath or is it? Being confident as a blogger is just as important as having a blog, as with anything in life. There have been times where I have doubted my blogging skills and thought, “I can’t do this” or “My blog doesn’t seem that great”. Those negative thoughts can hinder you from taking risks. And they hinder you and your blog from growing. So learn how to make your blogger confidence peak with these tips.
Keep The Mind and Body Strong
You can’t stay truly confident if your mind and body are running on empty. You won’t be able to think and your body certainly won’t be able to function. It’s important to maintain a healthy version of yourself outside of blogging in order to keep balance. Exercising daily is a great way to gain strength and feel refreshed. Exercising can be as simple as stretching, hitting up the treadmill, or going for a jog. You will also be surprised to find out once your done exercising that your mind will process thoughts easier than before. Reading can also help you keep your mind sharp. Whether it’s a book or a magazine, reading for enjoyment can help you filter your thoughts and keep your interest high.
Recognize Your Talent
Blogging is more than just words, right? Think about the skills you can offer on your blog and how they relate to your blogging personality. Are you a photographer, a mom, a good writer, great at giving advice? When you find your skill in blogging focus on nurturing it on and off your blog, focusing on your skills and turning into a hobby is a great way to improve your blogger confidence. Once you turn skill into a hobby, it prevents you from falling into a slump. Then, it will turn into something you will truly enjoy.
Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Help
The blogging community is vast source of overwhelming support. If you ever feel stuck, need advice, or a critique: you are not alone. Reach out to a blogger you admire within your niche and ask for help. Bloggers are always willing to help each other because we are all in this together. Join different forums such as Blog Trends, TFS, and IFB and make connections with other bloggers. We are all going through the same things. You shouldn’t have to feel like you are alone. That can help you boost your blogger confidence because you have the support of the blogging community with you.
The bottom line of having blogger confidence is to believe in yourself. These tips can help you improve your confidence but you need to believe in yourself first. Believing in yourself is the biggest risk of all. I hope these tips help you in your blogging journey as they have helped me in mine. Remember that taking a deep breath isn’t the only step you can take to get it together and improve your confidence. It’s the first step.
